Daddyland getting international publicity after host hotel cancels events, evicts participants from hotel

Crowne Plaza host hotel for DaddyLand and other LGBTQ events in Dallas

“Daddy Ersin” Winokur, promoter for the DaddyLand Dallas Festival over the July 4th weekend recently made a post on social media as a statement.

DaddyLand is a circuit and “daddy festival” of sorts held in Dallas each year. They are known for bringing in events to the Crowne Plaza for afterhours, darkrooms, water park days, and even dancing at Station 4 with popular DJ’s. The Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Dallas, host hotel for the DaddyLand Festival 2024 had canceled all further DaddyLand events planned at the hotel and had notified participants who were guests at the Crowne Plaza that they must be out of the hotel by 6 p.m.

Organizers have posted messages on social media noting that only the events scheduled for the hotel have been cancelled, while all other events being held at other venues will continue at venues such as S4 as scheduled.

“The host hotel has advised DaddyLand Festival — Dallas 2024 due to complaints by guests not part of the festival they would be canceling the remaining events. During negotiations to rectify the situation and offering to place extra security and make more accommodation to the guest staying in the hotel ownership became outwardly disrespectful to the team, its party guests and parts of our community. While we stand up for the many for the actions of the few the owner refused to listen to reason and made the decision to evict without notice everyone attending our events, We are committed to making this right for those affected.
“For now the remaining Daddyland Festival 2024 events will continue as scheduled with the exception of the after hours located at this years host hotel.
“Guest who purchased single event tickets for after hours will be refunded. Guest who purchased weekend passes which includes after hours events we are working on a solution to make up for the two remaining events that were canceled outside of our control.
“Please note many of the reasons being posted are untrue and as we continue the remaining events we appreciate the support of our community.”

Rumors are swirling that there were drugs and orgy’s (oh my really?). Who cares? We even saw a post about a naked man at the front and a syringe. I can tell you one thing circuit boys may do drugs but none of them use syringes unless it’s for steroids and you don’t go around doing that like it’s Miami in the 80’s. Some of the post on a right-wing ran reedit posing as a “gay bro” is actually saying everyone is making this into a anti-LGBTQ thing.

No one is accusing the hotel of being anti-LGBTQ in any of the posts we have read they are judging the gays at the party for going to an event that is named “DaddyLand”. This should’ve been handled better by hotel management and the event organizer. A host hotel with an afterhours event should not have families staying there that are not part of the event.

We attended the TRBU event there where they had a dark room and it had some kind of Madonna theme but not sure if we heard ONE Madonna song. The dark room was fun and it had a fun afterhours. They had security enforcing the dark room and charging quite a high price to get into the afterhours. It was a huge success and we hope they do it again but play more Madonna if it is that theme!

The Crowne Plaza in Dallas is known to host LGBTQIA+ events often such as Miss Gay USofA, TBRU, Daddyland, Southern Gay Pride, etc.

Privileged Sorority Girls Gone Wild?

There is also a rumor that and the 22,000 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha (all women) were in Dallas for their convention. Could they have oversold the hotel and the sorority girls paid more?

Hotel owner confirms that Daddyland members were evicted due to complaints from a sorority convention that was being held at the venue concurrently and not due to nudity or drug usage.

According to the Advocate magazine reporting the eviction was prompted by complaints by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority members, who were also in town for their biennial national convention, according to the hotel owner. He said the women complained about the attire of some of the Daddyland attendees.

The notice left for hotel guests staying at Crowne Plaza for the DaddyLand festival was printed on paper being the Crowne Plaza logo:

At first we thought this was a joke because the hotel had misspelled “Immediately”.
