Dallas Purple Party weekend is the biggest gay circuit party event in Texas attracting thousands of lgbtq from around the world for a nonstop weekend of dancing fun. This year it consists of several big parties including the legendary main event, Tea Dance, and the daytime “pool party” which are normally both sold out. Purple Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise funds to improve the lives of people in the Dallas area who are living with or are affected by HIV/AIDS. So you are basically helping great organizations out while having an amazing sound and light experience with some of the world’s masters of dancefloor beats.

The Purple Events Center, which was a massive success at PPW23, is undergoing a major upgrade for 2024. They are enhancing its size and production capabilities, which will elevate your RISE experience to new heights. Through this upgrade, we are merging the dance area and the pool deck to create the perfect fusion of a pumping dance floor and the refreshing waters of the pool. Our pool parties at the PurpleParty Marriott Suites Pool will truly represent the best of both worlds, promising three days filled with sunny vibes, invigorating beats, and unforgettable connections with over a thousand of your best friends. Whether you choose to soak up the sun, dive into the pool, or unleash your best daytime dance moves, this fusion of atmospheres guarantees an event like no other. We are excited that the 2024 Dallas Purple Party will be at Gilley’s instead of the State Fair Park! The venue is the best in Dallas.
The past few years the Purple Party have sent out emails reporting record-breaking sales (before the pandemic) and sold out passes. It was actually hard to get tickets for individual events last year if you waited until the last minute. It is possible that weekend passes and one (or more) individual parties will sell out this year so they are encouraging party goers to purchase soon. This year’s events are 18 and up including the main event with an exception of the pool party and the bear party.
In past years they also added a Thursday night event at the Eagle and a Sunday closing party at Stereo Live that everyone loved. This year they had a huge event at Station 4 in Dallas.
Events include Friday’s Ignite the opening party, Saturday’s Rise, the pool party and the The Purple Party aka the Main Event. For the Main Event DJ’s Bent Collective of three mega-DJ’s to bring us into the early morning sweating to the beats at the South Side Music Hall. On Sunday the bring you the Glow closing party at Stereo Live. While the parties are held at different venues around the city of Dallas there will be shuttles to and from the events from the ALoft host hotel off Oaklawn and Cedar Springs.
Purple Party Weekend has a proud history of showcasing the best of Dallas by featuring the city’s finest venues. Prices for the events start out at $5 and go up to $279 for a weekend pass to include all the events.
