When is the Pride Parade in Dallas?

The big question as we get closer to June is “When is the Pride Parade in Dallas?”

We recently noticed this posted to a group and here’s one of the best answers that summed it all up:

“I was the first person who was sad to see Pride move to fair park in June, after all I was the one who posted it here in this group first. Times have changed and our community survived so much with so many obstacles since then. We have now TWO prides and one of the few cities in the USA that can say they both are fantastic!

First pride is always the first week of June at Fair park and second pride holds to the tradition of being thrown on the strip in the Gayborhood during the month of September. In the wise words of James Ware, “There can never be to much pride” and he is very right.

May 31 to June 2 is the DallasPride in Fair Park, with their parade on that Sunday.

September 15 will be Pride in Dallas – Pride parade on Cedar Springs.

I encourage everyone to visit the Pride Event that is most comfortable to them or Please visit BOTH prides 

DallasPride.org and PrideInDallas.org

Our LBGTQ+ community needs all the support we can get and these events are peaceful while helping propel our voices to the politicians showing – We are here and we are strong. This is most important because we have some major fights in the capital come 2025 and need the voices of the community through our Pride events and other LGBTQ+ events.

This is true. LGBTQ Dallas Parade Dates for 2024 are as follows:

June 2 – Parade at Fair Park

Sept 15 – Parade on Cedar Springs

Is one of the prides more corporate than the other?

Both of the pride parades have to have sponsorships to operate. The trend worldwide is to have two prides. They have two prides in Oklahoma City. One downtown and one on the gayborhood strip.

Most of us were disappointed to see the main pride events move over to the State Fair of Texas and to the month of June back when it happened originally but they had a vision to grow it. If you think they grew it into a worldwide pride event bigger than Houston or another city competing for pride that day or month then pick your fun!

At the end of the day… This is a great thing because you have the freedom to go to the State Fair of Texas in June and to the Gayborhood in September.
